Good day to you!
This was obviously a terrible experience, and the situation right from the beginning seemed out of the ordinary, so I can partially understand the delay. I would assume the casino does not operate the transactions directly, so the delay is usually caused by the 3rd party payment provider who operates all incoming or outgoing transactions on behalf of the casino. Yet I believe a common player is not very interested in the background.
Would you, for instance, say the support took good care of you during resolving the matter?
When it comes to taking a picture while holding a piece of paper, it is a sort of additional verification practice, and despite the usual point of view, it is very common.
I'd say it is far better to send a couple of photos than to be unverified because the casino is not certain about your personal details - which is the most common reason for this kind of request.
It's good it all went somehow well in the end. You may be interested to know that such may occur even in the finest casinos and is hardly measurable. Thus the Safety Index is based on different aspects? Feel free to see the details included in the tab called "Safety Index explained." 👈
I perfectly understand it feels weird to see such a high score, but once you realize how it is calculated, I think it will make much more sense. Do you care to know more? I'll gladly answer your questions!
