Going into gambling with the desire to make money is not a very good idea. Of course, you want to win! That's the fun part.

But those two are not the same. You can get lucky, hit big, and bring home a sum that you would work for months or years. The problem is that repeating it is not that simple and can get you in trouble if you are not careful. You won't get away from the math behind gambling, which makes every game more favorable for the casino than the player. Thinking you can make a stable income from that is just foolish and, honestly, a road to hell.

Think about gambling as an activity that has a cost, like everything. Yes, you can win, but the chances that you will get more than you invested are low. If you have fun gambling, the best thing is to decide what cost is acceptable for you before you start and make that number solid. Think about it as money gone. "I am paying this for the activity" If you win, you get something extra. If you lose, you can try it again with the next budget. Important is that it is still fun for you.

Do not ever think of making money from gambling. If you win, take it as finding a golden nugget in a river behind the house. Take it and walk away. You won't find such a nugget easily, and you might get drowned trying.

I know zero people who make money from gambling except casino owners ahahah

why quit, just reduce the budget

Gambling addiction is very real. It takes a lot of time and much more pain to get through to the other side

It may be difficult for those whos' been playing for years and uses gambling as a source of income. Its a high risk path but others enjoy the thrill of it. I think it is important to have self control, it's fun to win and its still fun to lose but loosing all your money is no fun. Best to bet wisely ❤

A person with gambling addiction isn’t the kind of person that thinks rationally. Otherwise they wouldn’t be addicted.

Agree on that. I think for someone that is already deep into, it's extremely hard to get out of it - at least not without relatives helping the person out of it.

It is more about relax and entartaiment, not the way of receiving money. It is hard to imagine that some people really think that casinos can reach them, cause it is more about luck that strategy

I think you may have missed the point of this thread.

Nobody is saying that they only play for relaxation and entertainment.

The addictive nature of gambling doesn’t help a person with an addictive personality.

Once the grip of addiction takes over, you don’t play for relaxation or entertainment or even enjoyment. You play because your mind convinces you that you will win and nothing else matters. All logic and control goes out of the window.

It takes a very long time to be able to train your mind to think otherwise.

This may sound ridiculous to some people, but for a huge number of people this way of thinking is all they understand.

Unless you have been through the torture of gambling addiction then you will never know how difficult it is to gain control.
