I have a sticky bonus with no rules, so I thought that might be the reason. (Balance 2150 USD, bonus 200 USD) If it is a normal casino, I can ask the chat support and they will tell me. In my opinion, however, this is another good reason for the casino to reach out to you and explain the situation, and it is sad to see they failed to do so.
