Hi, I don’t want to somehow downplay problems or issues related to gambling addiction. It is definitely something that, in my opinion, nobody would want to deal with or ever experience.
However, in many cases it’s simply like this: players can register on various platforms, set gambling bans, and so on, but if there are casinos operating without a license and not under any regulatory authority, there will always be such casinos where a player can end up depositing, losing money, and where gambling addiction can be affected by it. It is just how it is, and I think we will probably never fully avoid it, because one casino can be shut down and another one can open the next day.
I would look at it more from a broader perspective and from the point of view that if someone has a gambling addiction, I know it is very difficult and it doesn’t change overnight. But I would probably do everything I could to try to stop gambling, seek professional help, and try to set up barriers so I simply couldn’t play in casinos anymore.
I’m not exactly sure what specifically would help, maybe talking about it with family, close friends, or people you trust. As I said, professional help where available, registering with different organizations that can help restrict access to gambling sites. It is really important to use those tools.
And where that is not possible, especially with casinos like the ones you are describing, I’m not sure what else could help. As I said, such casinos will always exist, and players also need to be careful and try to protect themselves as well.
