Has anyone complained to their bank about excessive deposits and not being flagged as a duty of care? My bank have shut me down saying not their fault as wrong mcc despite 15k being spent in weeks due to a huge relapse 😢so next steps are going to the ombudsman. Interested if anyone has gone this route and the outcome.

Yeah think I got like £100 compensation from ombudsman after losing thousands. Nothing changed after either still able to lose thousands.


I only got compensation as when I asked the bank for help saying i cant stop gambling, a customer service advisor responded "just stop then".

My bank couldn't have been more patronising if they tried!! They also gave me a loan mid spending and said they're in the clear cause I had a good credit rating!! UK Gambling sites flag excessive play but banks don't flag excessive spending 😢
