Red Stag is refusing to pay me nearly $15,000. First, they closed my account. At the time, they said my balance would be paid off at a rate of $2,500 per week. After they failed to make any payments, they eventually told me it was because the security team was running an investigation. I continued to pressure Red Stag during this period, but ultimately, I tolerated this investigation because I knew there was nothing to find. After 5 weeks, the security department didn't find anything. They decided to void my balance anyway. Officially, they claimed my activity was not in compliance with their T&C, citing only the end of rule 10:

"Players found using multiple browsers and/or found attempting to manipulate or ascertain information concerning the Casino software will forfeit all winnings and their accounts will be terminated."

They refused to elaborate on this. I had no inside information regarding the software and did nothing to manipulate it. Sometimes, I had more than one slot game open at a time - different slots on the same computer on the same account always on Microsoft Edge. This is not against the rules at any casino, and some game providers specifically design their games to accommodate this. If you read rule 10 in its entirety, you get a better sense of what it was actually designed to defend against:

"All Casino wagers must be placed through the user interface provided by the Casino on its website or through the client software. Any wagering through other means, including the use of a "robot" player, is strictly prohibited. In the event that use of non-approved client software is detected, the Company reserves the right to invalidate all such wagers retroactively, cancel the Player's account, or take any other appropriate counteraction. Players found using multiple browsers and/or found attempting to manipulate or ascertain information concerning the Casino software will forfeit all winnings and their accounts will be terminated."

I violated nothing in the above rule. Red Stag knows it too. Frankly, it would not shock me if Red Stag tried to hone in on the "ascertain information concerning the Casino software" clause as a backhanded way to try to criminalize using some basic, common sense strategy playing their progressives.

Most of the money in my account was the result of progressive jackpot money won. By stiffing me, that money gets paid out to nobody. It's also true that my winnings didn't really affect their bottom line that much. If I didn't win that jackpot money, they would've just had to pay it out to somebody else sooner or later.

After I notified Red Stag that I was going to post negative feedback, they tried to pivot themselves to being the victim. Essentially, the implication was that I was either trying to extort them or bribe them (I said I'd provide positive feedback if they paid). It should go without saying that I am resorting to a self-defense mechanism to try to get paid what's owed to me.

What stands out here is that Red Stag appears to be relying on a very serious rule about prohibited software or manipulation, but from what you've described, they haven't explained what specific activity they believe actually breached that rule.

Having multiple slot games open at the same time is not automatically the same thing as using a bot or manipulating casino software, so the important part would be what evidence the casino is relying on to connect your activity to Rule 10.

The fact that they first told you the balance would be paid in weekly installments, then carried out a lengthy investigation, and only afterwards decided to void the balance also deserves a closer look.

With nearly $15,000 involved, I think this is worth submitting a complaint to our Complaints Team so they can review the casino's reasoning and the evidence behind the confiscation.

The most useful things to include would be the casino's original promise to pay, the full Rule 10 wording they cited, and any message explaining the final decision after the security review.

I have decided a formal complaint will be one of my last recourses. From past experience, I have become disillusioned with the handling of free complaint services in general. The facts are strongly in my favor here. If I submit a complaint, I risk everything on a single point of failure, i.e. the complaint specialist reaching the wrong conclusion (for innocent reasons or otherwise). When that happens, it makes it very hard to prosecute your complaint publicly afterwards because you are constantly forced to footnote where the complaint specialist went wrong. Further, I would not likely submit such a complaint at Casino Guru. Do not take this the wrong way, but Michal has undermined my confidence in the complaint handling here when I saw how he handled my complaints with This Is Vegas and Paradise8.

You stated, "the important part would be what evidence the casino is relying on to connect your activity to Rule 10." I have the benefit of knowing exactly what my activity so I will correct you here. The casino is not relying on evidence at all...because there is none. I have been taking a large scale, multilateral effort of getting this complaint out there. Red Stag has had every motivation to present evidence in their defense and hasn't done so. They are not acting from a framework of what's right and what's wrong. They are acting from a framework of who has power and who doesn't. This is a cost benefit analysis of a loss of reputation vs $14,000+ in money saved.

Red Stag is indignant because their review showed that I had been able to get a good deal of +EV on their time sensitive progressives by making a study of how they operate. In situations like this, it is fair game to close the player's account. You still have to pay them. I've used similar strategies elsewhere and have always gotten paid. Having more than one slot playing at a time on autoplay helps you get the amount of money you want bet at key times at lower variance (you don't need to wager as much per spin).

Before I forget it, I also wanted to establish that it is not Red Stag Casino alone that I am going after. That would be too little. Practically speaking, Red Stag should be viewed as a skin of their parent company: Deckmedia N.V. By extension, I am levying my complaint against all Deckmedia N.V. casinos: Red Stag, Miami Club, Uptown Aces, Sloto Cash, Fair Go, Ozwin, Spartan Slots, Uptown Pokies and Decode Casino. A search on any should ping this complaint, and I may later decide it is appropriate I replicate notice of this complaint on threads of these other casinos. For the amount of money Red Stag is trying to stiff me, I think this is fair game.
