Hello everyone.

I am Maros, the main writer here at Casino Guru, and I would like to ask if you have any suggestions on educational articles that could be added into our Guide section. This can be stuff like guides about a type of casino games, general advice about playing in online casinos, or even new content about responsible/problem gambling.

If you have any suggestions, send them my way here :)

Hi Maros,

I would like very much to see a Tournaments section and walkthrough. Alot of players are unaware of rules and requirements some casinos have in place that require players that win 1st in a tournament for example may get a $100 but they still have a playthrough on that prize of 10-20% whatever the casino has stated. Things like that I think would be a big help to some players . thanks

Hi. I am writing for a new (official) account now, but I am still the same person.

Thanks for the tip. An article about casino tournaments would certainly be a nice addition to the Guide section. Hopefully, we will sooner or later get to this topic and write a comprehensive article about this. If I don't forget, I will notify you here once it's written :)

I know that most likely many people on this forum, and this website are or have been casino affiliates and may benefit from a Q&A section or a help chat group for anyone to offer help to others.

I'm afraid we're not going to do this since we're purely focused on online casinos. Sports betting is a totally different segment and we don't have as good knowledge as we have for online casinos even though I know about few colleagues who had some success in it.

is this still not relevant?

I would like to know general knowledge of how the games come to be. For example, when the game is made and is ready to be marketed to a casino for use, does the game maker sell the game to the casino giving them full control? Maybe they rent the game and the game maker maintains the integrity of the game and maintenance of the game.

What are some of the laws or checks and balances that keep these games and these casinos legit? Maybe some knowledge could help us spot some of these places that are not doing what they are supposed to do.

I am thinking of that cartoon from childhood,..."I'm just Bill. I am sittin' on Capitol Hill.." shows the general process of a bill becoming a law.

To what, please?

I'd say you are most likely to get an answer if you use the "reply" button. Just a hint 😉

Hey there.

It is different for each game type, so we should distinguish between "live dealer" games and "standard" games (slots for instance).

When it comes to, this article explains how it works: https://casino.guru/how-slot-machines-work-math

I'll pick up the essentials though:

file

How random numbers are generated and used in slot machines:

  1. RNG generates a random number.
  2. The game’s mathematical module takes the random number and calculates where the reels should stop.
  3. The game stops the reels at the determined positions and calculates the outcome of the spin.
  4. The outcome of the spin is then displayed to the player who initiated the spin.

Your win (or loss) in every round is determined purely by your luck. The outcome isn’t influenced by your previous wins/loses, nor the wins/losses of other players, nor by anything predictable. It’s just you and electromagnetic noise in the RNG – simply pure gambling.

I just add that the officially licensed games - provided by licensed game providers are always "loaded" from the official game provider's servers with no chance of alternation.

On the other hand, some game providers allow casinos to pick up the preset RTP value. The casino decides between e.g. 94, 95, or 96% RTP for slots.

Allow me to say 94% is quite bad.

I would personally appreciate some insight about the live dealer games. I know a certain graphic software is used to enhance the players' experiences, so it may look like the dealer is using blind cards to get an advantage. Well, it's just a technical advancement. And every popular and big brand uses this feature, as I was told.

Did I help you a bit? 🙂

Yes, you helped. I appreciate your insight but I got more questions now. Sometimes we got to take one step back before we can take two steps forward.

I was referring to standard slots and those types of games but I am glad you brought up the "live dealer".

STANDARD GAME

"some game providers allow casinos to pick up the preset RTP value. The casino decides between e.g. 94, 95, or 96% RTP for slots."

Are you saying the casino has a chance to set the RTP once or they can change between those numbers at will? Cause if it is the latter, that's kind of shady. I would like to see the RTP set and verified by a third party and the same goes for the RNG.

LIVE DEALER

Blind Cards?? I am not sure what you mean here so please, explain some more.

I played live dealer Black Jack a few hours ago. I was the only player at the table and I quit when I noticed that my totals were summing up before she turned my card over.

For example, I had a 6 and 4 so the software displays a 10 total under the cards. The dealer shows a 6. When I pressed the "double down" button my total went to 15 before she turned my card over. She had the card out of the shoe and was sliding it across the table when the total changed. Could have been a video delay but immediately I think, How the Filth-Flarn-Filth did they know what was coming before the card was flipped? I know it made me feel uncomfortable.

May not have been anything shady going on at all but they lost me as a player for at least tonight. At that point, I was still up on the table like $30 but I was too busy being suspicious to have fun anymore.

Are there microchips in the cards and sensors in the table? How does the software get the info so quickly? If so, what advantage does that give the house? Does it even matter? My cards will be face-up anyway. The house has rules on how they must play (hit 16 and below, stand on 17 and above). As long as the shoe is shuffled and cut right, there shouldn't be an issue. Right?

I'm very interested in what blind cards are and how they could give the house some advantage over the player. I also wonder, does this type of play gives new life to the card-counting player? You can take notes instead of keeping it all in your head.

The math tells me if I stay long enough, I will lose. I guess I do it cause it's fun and exciting. So, I feel the industry has some responsibility to make sure I stay excited and keep having fun. A little transparency and education for the Public on the House's behalf would go a long way, I think.

Hello there!

Let's get straight to the answers you seek 🙂. I'll do my best to satisfy your thirst for knowledge!

  1. STANDARD GAME: yes - the game provider (Pragmatic Play, I guess) allows the casino to pick up the RTP, not sure whether the casino is also allowed to change the RTP without reaching out to the game provider though. But, there is the option to choose the RTP, probably when a new slot is listed.
  2. LIVE DEALER: I recommend checking up this thread: https://casino.guru/forum/other-casino-games/evolution-roulette-not-fair-and-honest/2#post-54302 It was discussed there.

At this point, I'll probably disappoint you but have never had a decent chance to find out how it really works. So, you can try asking the user SunsetGaze, he is pretty skilled and experienced.

I'll admit I should avoid slots for instance - I have that experience, and despite all I know, I'm usually quite eager to keep playing. 🙂

Anyway, let me know whether you find more details about all those topics. I always try to learn more from real players.

Thanks for the link. You might check that link again cause I think your buddy hit his third strike with his last post.

Could you explain the blind card thing?

bowenbowen
πριν από 1 έτος

Uhm, my bad!

I thought I found the proper discussion, but sadly I did not. 🙁

The point is some providers just project rng generated cards to physical blank cards. Such as these.

Many players see that as another way to cheat on them. Well, I was told it is a standard method, and the main purpose is to provide the best visual experience.

I do not know how it works exactly, to be honest... I recall this topic being discussed, but still, I could not find the link, I'm sorry.

I'll try to dig something up.

Ok, I am feeling a little dumb right now. Are you saying there is the possibility that a live human dealing physical cards could be using "blank cards". To clarify, when I refer to live dealer, it is as if you and I were connected through a Zoom meeting and I am dealing from a real deck of cards that you can see. You can speak with me or type messages to me and I can speak back to you. When cards are dealt you will see the physical card as well as the software showing the same information. Below is a pic of an example I just pulled up on Google.

Is it possible to make the card on the table into a different card???
