This is for at Casino Guru

Do you think adding Withdrawal Payment options along with a casino’s Deposit Payment option, would be useful for players.

I wondered whether the index value should reflect the absence of the same withdrawal method as used for depositing?

Hey there.

I'd say it would. Sadly, we are not capable of updating such information regularly for many reasons, mainly because it would require an extreme amount of time. Considering we simply can't do that regularly, this leaves this option in a theoretical sphere.

Additionally, payment options vary a lot, and we just can't provide a 100% correct and up-to-date list for every single country or currency.

If you read this article called "Casino Guru Reviews – Learn About Our Casino Review And Rating Process" you'll find out which aspects create a safety index: payment options are out of the calculation for the aforementioned reasons.

"Factors considered in our reviews

Our casino review process takes into account a huge amount of information about each casino, which is collected by members of our review team. This information can be grouped into five main categories:

Size of the casino

Player complaints

Deductions for restrictive or unfair practices

Points added for positive qualities

Related casinos

"

Waiting for next suggestions 😉

I completely understand that to include this in the Safety Index rating process would probably be too demanding. However, perhaps it could be included in the ‘see more’ section:

  • Language options
  • Payment methods
  • Withdrawal methods ?!
  • Games
  • Games providers

Out of curiosity, when adding the payment methods why don’t you add the withdrawal methods too?

I suspect payment methods and withdrawal methods generally remain unchanged!

Going forward, perhaps it is something you could phase in when reviewing new casinos?!

I'll try that again 🙂

We see no difference between deposit or withdrawal methods because we do not possess the necessary manpower to keep track of them. Once the casino allows certain methods - usually by mentioning that in TaC - these are allowed, most likely for both deposits and withdrawals alike. However, payment options are subject to change based on additional aspects far beyond our reach.

The rest is actually the casino's support work: to inform players about payment availability, exceptions, limitations, and so on.

The logic is the same for all aspects affected by short-timed changes, we do not consider these measurable.

If you check any casino's panel, you'll find everything there:

languages

payment options

game providers

and also many other details

Aside from the games, which again we can't keep track of.

Currently, there are more than 4K casinos in our database, so keeping an eye on each game added is impossible.

Aside from that, the safety index explains the level of fairness you should expect in a casino. Available games don't play a significant role, I'd say.

Radka Please may I request you desist from using patronising, sarcastic opening responses, it has the potential to invoke a similar reaction, which is not helpful to anyone, much less the reader!

" I'll try that again 🙂"

I am not an enemy here, all I ask for is clarification!

There may be some misunderstanding, if this is the case I will start again!

On the majority of casinos reviews on your platform, one can scroll down the page and see more information, the reader has to assume this is pertinent to that particular casino. This extra information includes PAYMENT METHODS!

Is this a generic list added to each casino’s review information or is it something you have added as a result of reviewing casinos?

I find it extremely odd a player can deposit with one method but cannot always withdraw with the same method!

There could be a number of reasons for this and I would certainly be interested in establishing why!

If players are to be protected the withdrawal methods should be visible on casino websites without the need for registration. This means a player can make an informed decision about joining!

Hello there.

I'm also not the enemy, and I truly don't understand your concern about me. 🤷‍♀️

You ask questions, and I respond. There is nothing more to that.

Trying my best to provide concrete explanations based on our general approach. So, what seems to be the issue, please? There is nothing you should take personally; sometimes simple questions require complex explanations, and at the same time, such an explanation is precisely the reason why Casino Guru does not consider some aspects while building up the casino's main page, so I just mentioned it to make it more obvious. Is this somehow an issue?

I believe I already explained our view on the non-existing difference between payment options.

I also added practical explanations to cover the whole context.

Yes, all the information mentioned on each casino's side applies to that specific casino. 🙂 There is a whole Data Team behind that. So, when you ask whether this or any other lists are generic - well, partially:

The Team collects information for each casino, a breathing person collects all the parts together (web research, TaC, affiliate contacts, and so on) and then puts these into our internal system, through which we can show it all on the website accordingly. The way this information is shown on the back end is generic, or I believe you may say so. It's more like a technical tool. The Data Tem has a list of information, once the list is covered, information can be uploaded to the web - this is mostly an automated process.

Please keep in mind that some information varies based on the viewer's country. This is what makes our website kind of special.

I hope I covered it all at least once 😀. Feel free to ask anyway, if you like.

The concern I have Radka may be lost in translation 🤷‍♀️ who knows? It is not always what one says, it’s the way one says it. I only request you respond respectfully, without a sarcastic undertone,, which serves no purpose ☺️

The point I have tried to make here, in simple terms, is a player ought to be aware they may not be able to withdraw with the same method as used to deposit.

I understand your explanation about person-power and time but I do wonder if it is something casinos should display on their website before registration?!

I am hopeful honest casinos would have no issue with adding such detail!

Whatever. 🙏

Now, to the point: If you ask me whether I'm convinced casinos, in general, should provide as many details as possible before the registration, then yes, I am.

From my experience: Some casinos put this into the TaC, and some, on the other hand, provide logos in the footer or somewhere on the website. In my opinion, the chat operator or support should take care of the rest.

I would not say this is about honesty. It is more about keeping the information up-to-date, which is quite complicated for bigger casinos - as well as for us, I'd say. As I mentioned, this is usually subject to change and varies a lot based on many aspects, such as the country of residence, for instance.

I agree with the preferred payment options being a good thing to know before registering. Sadly, we do not live in an ideal world; sometimes you won't get correct or well-informed answers even when you ask the operator. Sometimes, the availability of payment options becomes clear after you decide to make the first deposit. Simply because terms are not updated accordingly or because the casino is using a third-party company to handle all transactions. 🙁

I hope you never encounter any of that.

Ah yes, a casino using a third-party company to handle all transactions is a real issue for so many players!

‘Transaction Laundering’ is such a lucrative business now, no wonder third-party transactions are favoured!

I am currently investigating Malta’s controversial Bill 55, also known as Article 56A of Malta's Gaming Act, that many say is not compatible with EU Law. The Bill protects Malta Gaming Authority (MGA)-licensed operators from liability resulting from their gaming activities!

Lawmakers in Malta passed the bill in June 2023, but to become law it has to be approved by the European Commission!

I see that you are going into the topics that concern law, so I have no insight into it. Anyway, if you learn something interesting that is worth mentioning, feel free to post it again. Some findings can be interesting and also useful.

It is very important to look at significant changes in gambling legislation that can affect the legal framework of license providers.

We are all aware of the urgency to introduce safer gambling tools but also a strategy to rid the gambling scene of unscrupulous operators, if that could ever be achieved!

That's a good point, if it can be achieved. However, such information is certainly useful and it is good to educate ourselves in such an area as well. So as I said, if you have something interesting, feel free to share it.
