What type of player are you? Do you prefer games with high or low volatility? Do you also consider a game’s RTP when choosing what to play, or is that not important to you?🙂

Προτιμώ παιχνίδια με μέτρια μεταβλητότητα, καθώς προσφέρουν καλή ισορροπία. Ελέγχω επίσης το RTP πριν επιλέξω ένα παιχνίδι. 😊

Fair enough on the math side, but my view is pretty different. I’m all in on the high-multiplier trend and have zero desire to return to the old 1,000x–3,000x ceiling.

For a lot of players, that lottery-style sweat is the main appeal now. When I open a highly volatile slot, knowing a ridiculous 20,000x or 50,000x outcome exists — even if it’s a long shot — makes the session far more engaging.

Sure, a huge max win can skew how RTP is distributed, yet newer releases usually balance that with stronger base-game action and more regular bonus buys. Think about older titles like Moon Princess: you could spend hours grinding, eventually land the 5,000x max, and still feel boxed in. On modern high-cap games, a normal bonus round can produce a solid 500x–2,000x without requiring the game’s absolute top payout.

Ultimately it depends on what you want from your bankroll. Low-volatility slots are still there for people who want longer, safer sessions. But if adrenaline is the point, I’ll take those absurd 100,000x caps every time.

I have to admit, this question is a little more complicated for me personally. From what I understand, some games don’t have an obvious volatility level to begin with, but then offer a high-volatility mode. Or buying a special feature can change the volatility altogether.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I struggle right from the start to decide what volatility level a game actually feels like. I’m not talking about reviews or descriptions online. I mean my own impression of whether the results feel like low, medium, or high volatility.

I’m not sure I’m explaining this very well, so feel free to ignore me if it doesn’t make sense. 😅

I understand. Medium volatility may appeal to more players than extremely high volatility. With highly volatile games, you often need a great deal of luck or a larger balance than with games offering low or medium volatility.

As for RTP, since you check it when choosing games, what percentage do you personally consider high? And at what point would you regard the RTP as low?
