Hello,
Now I better understand and must admit that I heard that before, not entirely sure about which casinos, though.
Many players have their mailboxes spammed daily, same goes for messages from unknown senders. None of those can be avoided, unsubscribe, or blocked. This is a serious problem, especially for vulnerable players.
I see the main problem in a quite common practice applied even outside online gambling, "Do you agree your details be listed for promotional purposes?" "To confirm the account please give us your agreement with..."
Does it sound familiar? 🤯
But let's get back to the world of online casinos, sometimes all you have to do is click/tap on a sort of temporary advert or flash message offering a special bonus, and you are trapped. 🙁
Sooner or later you'll find yourself swimming in email offers from every casino in that group, I guess.
Not particularly a leak of personal information though. Casinos just sometimes share those details with the whole group, casinos under the same management, and so on.
When it comes to advertisements from third-party companies, that's something different, I'd say.
I'm not aware of any perfectly working solution, I'm afraid.
If you come across any useful tips, please come and share.
