Lottomart continues to withhold my winnings of £6,272 "until such time that they can complete their due checks from a source of funds perspective." This is despite confirming in writing that my account is over £20,000 up overall — meaning the source of funds is clearly from my winnings that I obtained from Lottomart.
I am aware of the UK Gambling Commission’s requirements for Source of Funds and Anti-Money Laundering checks. However, under the UK Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), operators are required to ensure that Source of Funds checks are reasonable, proportionate, and directly relevant. In this case, demanding access to personal financial records when the source of funds is clearly from my winnings that I obtained from Lottomart is neither proportionate nor fair.
Instead of addressing the issue, I was asked to edit my review and remove part of my original experience. To me, this felt like further pressure to stay quiet rather than an attempt to resolve the situation.
This is not the first time. When I previously won a £25,000 jackpot as a brand-new player, I had not even come close to hitting any deposit limits. Despite that, they made the same intrusive demands, then later admitted they had "jumped the gun" and eventually released the funds.
Now the same situation is happening again. The way my case is being handled has involved prolonged delays, repeated pressure to share sensitive data, and assurances that have not been followed through. I do not feel safe sharing my personal financial information in these circumstances. For this reason, I am considering making a personal complaint about how this has been handled through the proper regulatory channels.
From my experience, it feels like a cat-and-mouse game: once a large jackpot is hit, their main focus seems to be delaying the payout rather than providing the "fast payouts" they advertise on their website.
I would also like to know:
• Where exactly are my withheld winnings being kept while this drags on?
• Am I earning any interest on these funds, or is the operator benefitting from holding them?
• Why does a company serving UK players not even have an office in the UK, but only operates from Gibraltar? This lack of presence makes me feel uneasy about accessibility and accountability.
I have filed a formal complaint and will escalate to ADR, the UK Gambling Commission, the ICO, and my bank if this continues.
The repeated delays, disproportionate requests, and lack of transparency make me feel bullied and unsafe.
Until this matter is resolved, I intend to be an active advocate for spreading awareness of how Lottomart treats its customers. I will continue to share my experience across review sites, consumer forums, and social media so other players can make an informed decision before depositing.
Players deserve fair treatment, timely payouts, and clarity about their money — not delays, pressure, or unanswered questions.
