Have you explained to them that the transactions aren’t gambling related if they’re showing up from a books merchant or similar?

Same they took.12 weeks with mine but shot themselves in foot as I was told over phone that the case was definitely closed even though it was showing open on my account and a customer service advisor said no it's definitely closed but someone keeps raising it but it will keep getting rejected. Then I get email saying it's still being investigated then a phone call 3 weeks later from the fraud investigation officer who said he was investigating it and would call me back on the tue with a outcome obviously rejected .but in the beginning it was raised as fraud then they rejected it but said they would raise it as chargebacks and I had to fill out forms for items not received and send all correspondence to them I have attempted with the merchants .they said in final response letter we have concluded our investigation and we are not refunding you this was not a scam the dispute was not raised as scam but chargeback .I also had gambiling blocks and international payments on my account at time .the bank needed to provide information from evidence from.merchants to prove otherwise and they didn't. My case is now with FOS I honestly don't even think santander investigated they have an awful trustpioilot reviews

Ok I think if it is bigger amounts they do it as they cannot chance paying it all out !

Well if it is £3500 thats nothing to them to pay out but over £10000 a lot more and interest so they do them as its a big hit if they raise the chargebacks they cost them nothing they are simply reversing payments but its in there interests if a big amount as if they lose to the ombudsman they cover it all

Don't mention gambling then - wait 14 days - email the merchants in that time asking why you haven't received your services - they won't reply. Send along with the chargeback - obligated under scheme rules to charge it.

Its too difficult that with loads of transactions the banks not daft they will want to know what you thought you were buying etc bud your better just being honest he has already told them its gambling

I have just been reading Google terms and conditions as I thought ,hang on Google.are partly to blame for this also for allowing unlicensed offshore operators to advertise in restricted countries .If Google upheld the law because you can only search for certain domains from certain countries or you don't get access,well what intreating read . Gambiling sites need a valid licence and need to provide Google these licenses and also are not allowed to promote or operate in restricted countries or advertise if they do so Google can and will shut down their domains .But what I can't understand is half of these Gambiling sites do not hold any licence like costa rica they do not hold licence but the companies are registered this means swfa.and not worth the paper it's written on its an interesting read .My thoughts are Google should also be held responsible for allowing these sites to advertise without due diligence and checking their validity on licence . Penalties need paying
