Hello everyone, I’d like to start a discussion about depositing and withdrawing funds at online casinos and find out how other players handle this.

In my case, deposits are usually processed instantly and without any issues, but when it comes to withdrawals, the situation isn’t always so straightforward. The biggest hurdle is verification (KYC): sometimes the casino requests additional documents, and customer support doesn’t always explain exactly what’s missing or why it’s needed. This back-and-forth can easily drag the process out for several days.

A few questions for the community:

  • What do you consider a "normal" withdrawal timeframe (after KYC approval)?
  • Do you always complete KYC before depositing funds, or only when you’re ready to withdraw?
  • Have you ever had instances where a casino asked for additional documents without a clear reason?
  • Do you have any tips for avoiding delays (best documents, selfie format, address verification, etc.)?

I’m not trying to blame anyone I’m just trying to understand what’s normal and what’s a red flag. I’d appreciate any real-world timelines and advice.

Hi Jack,

These are excellent questions, but the honest answer is that a lot depends on the situation. 🙂

When withdrawals take longer, it does not automatically mean there is a problem. Processing times can depend on many things, such as the casino, payment method, whether it is your first withdrawal, KYC status, country, withdrawal amount, weekends, or internal checks.

Some players prefer to complete KYC before depositing, while others wait until their first withdrawal. Even if KYC is already approved, casinos may still ask for additional documents later. This is not always a red flag.

Also, if a casino asks for extra documents or does not explain everything clearly, it does not automatically mean something suspicious is happening. In practice, casinos sometimes carry out internal security, payment, or account reviews, including routine or random checks. Support teams also may not always be able to explain the exact reason behind these processes in detail due to security measures.

Of course, repeated delays, changing requests, or poor communication can feel frustrating and may deserve closer attention. But many situations depend heavily on the specific circumstances.

In the end, there are not many general answers that fully explain what is "normal," because experiences often depend on the casino itself, the player’s situation, and how both sides communicate during the process.

I would split withdrawal problems into three separate stages: payment processing, internal casino review, and KYC/account verification. Players often call all of it "withdrawal delay", but these are different issues.

For me, a normal withdrawal should at least show what is actually pending. Is it the payment provider? Is it document review? Is it a bonus rule? Is it a source-of-funds check? If support only says "wait" without naming the stage, the player cannot understand what to do next.

The first small withdrawal usually tells more about a casino than the first deposit.

Hey, well said.

I agree, especially with the last sentence. It's still amazing how many people tend to compare the deposit to withdrawal processes. From my experiences, a clear, understanble and fair explanation provided by casinos helps players avoid concluding their own theories.

I mean, when something goes sideways, it's natural to fill up the gaps with information. 🙂

I’d be less worried by the delay itself than by the fog around it.

First withdrawals are often slower. KYC can be clumsy. Weekends and payment rails matter. Fine. But if support keeps changing the reason, or can’t say whether it’s document review, bonus checks, or payment processing, that’s when I’d start treating it as a warning sign rather than just normal admin friction.

Hey, I totally agree, and in my opinion, many would agree, but when this occurs far too often, no wonder people tend to summarize it all under less complex descriptions. Here on the forum, it usually starts as "This casino is a total scam; it won't pay the money!" And we get where this is coming from. :-)
